In Q1 2023, the Tower Defense games market in Portugal saw some interesting trends across the top 5 apps on a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at how each of these games performed in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD from MY.GAMES B.V. experienced a varied performance throughout the quarter. Survivor Space by Bui Thi Ha showed a steady decline in downloads after an initial surge of over 5K in early January, dropping to around 585 by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 4.3K in early January and ending at 5.9K by late March. Revenue was minimal, peaking at $6 in mid-March.

Plants vs. Zombies™ 2 from PopCap maintained a consistent performance throughout the quarter. Downloads ranged from around 700 in late January to 1.1K by the end of March. Active users started at about 10.2K in late December, experienced a slight dip, and ended the quarter at 8.8K. Revenue saw a peak of $256 in late February, with fluctuations throughout the quarter.
